This is a medium length assignment intended to take at least 4 to 6 classes. It is not neccesary for the student to be present in the lab/shop to properly do this assignment, but it does require the student to communicate with the teacher about progress on the assignment. There are several products: Online documentation, in class presentation, physical display including student written text, photos and topic based objects.
While there is not a word count requirement, it is important that the questions be answered adequately. Complete, well thought responses are more valuable than shoddy brief answers. The questions are intended to be a guide to stimulate thought and creative investigation. Consider the questions as a starting point.
Students should check with the teacher frequently about progress.
Questions:
Create a page on your wiki for the project. Add the questions to the page. Begin researching the questions by doing some searches. As you find pages that have good information, link to them in your 'more information' section. You can either read the info as you gather it, print it or come back to the site later.
Keep in mind that this is research, not copy and paste. You will need to put only your own words on the pages. You can include photos from other sites, but do not copy text. Include the web addresses of photos that you use.
